Wangolina Gruner Veltliner 2022 750ml

Beautiful Grüner Veltliner, an Austrian variety that we have totally fallen in love with. If you haven't tried this variety before, think steely dry Riesling combined with the mouth-coating texture of a Pinot Gris.

Fruit was hand-picked & de-stemmed, then split evenly between 3 seperate ferments. Stainless steel retains the variety & regions natural acidity, conditioned oak & ceramic egg shared the remains, where they lay for 4 months on fine lees to build depth & texture.

The nose is beautifully varietal & layered of meyer lemon, lemon sherbet & fresh, peppery, crunchy celery. As it hits the buds, the coating texture demands to be noticed, slowly unveiling fleshy white stone fruit & lemon rind edges. A broad & salivating spine of slate mineral acidity slowly drives the finish to a long, tingling finish with a touch of white pepper to linger.
