Grenache & friends

Grenache is a red grape variety that's grown all over the world, and it's capable of making some incredible wines, but it forever seems to be a niche grape for some reason, bar the Rhone Valley it always seems to play second fiddle to Shiraz & Cabernet for those who are looking for bigger wines, and it's definitely overlooked by the Pinot crowd who want something a little lighter, but for mine - it sits perfectly in between the two houses. Versatile, flexible, interesting. Give Grenache a whirl!
