Philip Lobley Yea Valley Merlot 2020 750ml

Another of Phil Lobley's "very small vineyard" projects, this Merlot comes from a tiny vineyard near Glenburn, Victoria which is about half-way in between Yea &; Yarra Glen. Light, bright crimson in colour it has intense aromas of cranberry, mulberry, tobacco, cedar & smallgoods. The palate is medium bodied, super juicy and expressive up front before a wicked savoury, peppery, floral finish ties it all up. Very fine tannins, and crunchy acidity keeps things fresh and moving. Merlot is back!
