Mother Block Red 2022 750ml

Over the years, we have had heaps of wine made from fruit grown by Chalmers, but never a wine grown & made by Chalmers. This one comes from their vineyards near Mildura and is made from Sagratino, Nero D'Avola, Aglianico, Sangiovese, Uva Di Troia, Terodelgo & Piedrosso. What a mouthful! While the composition is complex and challenging, the wine is anything but. It's a straightforward, delicious and uncomplicated modern Australian dry red. Not too heavy, not too light, not too fruity, not too dry, just straight down the middle good honest drinking, which we are all for. It is difficult to imagine an occasion where a wine like this wouldn't suit.
