These Mada wines from the Canberra district have been consistently delicious and we're glad they entered our lives. Produced from grapes grown on two separate sites and vinified separately, 40% whole bunch. I forgot to write down the bloody colour, but it's rocking a red berry and pepper nose, perfumed with a whiff of florals and faint suggestion of something kool-minty. The palate is medium bodied, and plush textured, with generous ripe plums and berry compote, a little charcuterie, lots of spice. It's a beautifully structured wine, so polished and pretty - great grip and length suggest it'll improve with a sleep somewhere cool dark and calm, and drink well for a good while yet.
