John Rexer founded Ilegal Mezcal in 2006, deciding to create a "legit" version of the illicit Mezcal he enjoyed during his Central American travels. We're glad he did, the range is delicious.

Reposado (rested) Mezcal spends between two and twelve months in oak casks, offering a midpoint between Joven (young) and Anejo (aged). This Mezcal takes the best parts of intense smokiness and pepperiness that Joven offers, tempered by a little time in oak - it's softer, and more approachable, though not as luscious as an Anejo offering. This makes a great sour.

Our delivery policy

We deliver locally (within 5km) between 5pm & 8pm every day we are open. Delivery is free and there are no minimums. Non local delivery is by Australia Post and costs $15 for all orders under $250. For more info, hit the button below.

PARKING
It can be tricky, we know... sorry. Main street is your best bet, we can bring goods to your car click and collect style, or if you're brave, you can legally park out the front of the shop on Saturday, believe it or not.
