Cornella Brewery Black Velvet Oatmeal Stout 375ml

The brewing market is a little weird, we see trends and consistencies that don't seem to make much sense; one is oatmeal stout - it has become typicallly a thin, gentle, polite, cruisy, lower alcohol stout that certainly has its place; I have consumed more 3 Ravens Black Oatmeal than any other stout I can think of for the detailed reasons, but I'm not quite sure how it happened, who started or who followed. This beer bucks that trend, it's 6.5% and quite rich, certainly velvety by name and nature, and smooth as silk, but it has some genuine weight and volume and makes sure that you know you're drinking stout first, oatmeal second.
