Bordiga comes from Cuneo, a small city in the North of Italy, a stone's throw from Monaco & the French border. It's another alpine region, which is a common theme in these aperitif/digestif drinks, cooler climates are favourable for growing herbs with high concentrations of fragrance and essential oils. The distillery's equipment is almost 150 years old, they're fairly committed to the cause! This Aperitivo is made from local orange, rhubarb and herbs. It's bittersweet, aromatic and great in a spritz or with soda. The extra time refining the recipe and attention to detail on local ingredients offers are more complex and intense Aperitif experience than the more commercial examples.
