Blood Moon Seeker Sunbury Chardonnay 2023 750ml

Chardonnay from the Goona Warra Vineyard in Sunbury. This is the follow up to one of our most popular wines of the last 12 months. The previous vintage was a ripper of a drink at the price and it sold out very quickly. This is genuinely small scale production stuff. 

Fermented in a mix of tanks and barrels, 20% of which was new. I had the privilege of tasting the wine as the ferments were finishing up and I was really excited by what I saw, have looked forward to having this wine on hand. Lovely inviting deep gold colour, expressive nose full of spring blossom, peaches & cream, blood orange, some cashew in there too. The palate is luscious, creamy textured and carries the peaches & cream, cashew generous vibes early, before a toasty, buttery, gently bitter marmalade and herby finish.

This is a superb wine for the money. It'll get better over the coming couple of years, too. Great work Mr Aulich.
