Nero d'Avola, Nero di Troia & Aglianico grapes, grown in the Riverland by Ashley Ratcliffe, and Chalmers in Merbein. Both vineyards have given us some fabulous and memorable wines from a variety of producers; Matt Aulich's Blood Moon Sagratino,  22 Halo, and heaps more; this wine sits at the very top of the memorable tree from this neck of the woods. 

Each of these three grape varieties are from the warm winegrowing regions of Southern Italy, and are ideal for our warm climate up there near Swan Hill, Berri & Mildura where the water allocations from the Murray help keep grapes healthy. 

The wine itself pours a deep dark broody colour, but has a really lively hue around the rim. Florals, dark berries and heaps of spice on the nose, the palate is light to medium bodied, carrying equal measures of savoury spice & black fruit, taut acid and very fine tannin through the refreshing, gently peppery finish. It really is the right wine, at the right price at the right time. Bravo Hadyn, we applaud and thank you.
