Yangarra King's Wood Shiraz 2019 750ml

Single site Shiraz from one of Yangarra's older Shiraz vineyards that are given the royal treatment. *pause for applause* King's Wood... Royal treatment... I really need adult supervision. Deep inky purple colour, a refined nose of blueberry, blackberry, cedar, pepper, charcuterie, and allspice. It's a little lighter in the mouth than the appearance would suggest, but it packs in a deceptive heap of pure, taut blue fruit again with a little cedar and pepper. A little charry meat and spice emerge in the back and persists with the berries wafting in and out throughout the finish, which has several encores. It's a beautifully presented, polished wine that while very good now, will improve with a few years' sleep somewhere cool and dark and it'll drink well for a decade.
