Wildflower Ambrosia: Gentian 750ml

This is a super challenging release from Wildflower, part of their Aperitif/Digestif inspired series, this one showcases Wormwood & Gentian. Dull murky yellow in the glass, with an expressive complex aroma; lemon rind, ginger, cumquat, turmeric, cedar. The palate is light and racy in texture, but profoundly bitter, particularly at the first sip. Clunky, spicy, herbal and bitter Digestif flavours dominate the first sip, but soften as your palate adjusts it softens out into an incredibly fascinating if potentially polarising concoction.
