I don't know much about the producer but had to have some after trying it in a tasting lineup. It's predominantly Sangiovese with some Cabernet, Merlot, and other varieties grown organically just south of Florence. It pours a deep dark colour and smells like berries; raspberry, cranberry kinda vibe? Light to medium-bodied the berry theme continues, with some liquorice and spice hovering in the background. A very fine, dry spicy finish. I really, really like this wine for its power to weight ratio; it's really tasty without being too rich or cloying. Great food wine and should improve for a few years. 13.0%
