Many a head has been scratched by people in the wine business; how the f*&k do we sell Grenache?... We have such a good climate for it, particularly in the Barossa & McLaren Vale, we have some of the world's oldest vines, and the grape itself is so versatile. Here, it's been fashioned into something that looks like it's a dark broody monster, smells like it too; blackberry, liquorice and spices jump out. The palate defies what the nose suggests; it's a juicy, vibrant and bright thing, cheerful, calm and polite. Really groovy vino.
