It doesn't take a genius to figure out the inspiration for this Gin, which was produced exclusively on That Spirited Lot's pot still from house-made grape spirit. Basil, ginger, lemongrass intertwined with juniper makes for a superb exotic sniff. The palate is soft and velvety, carrying great flavour intensity without any perceivable heat or burn. It's out there, exotic, exciting and arguably the best execution of this ambitious style we have seen to date.
That Spirited Lot is a small independent distillery in Seaford, Victoria. They produce spirits using a pot and a column still. The column allows them to achieve great yields and consistent results, while the pot creates more expensive, characterful spirits.
