Opaque, murky custard with an orange tinge. A really complex nose; sweet and fruity, but also really earthy - somewhat like potting mix. Full throttle palate, gutsy citrus, sweetness and an amaro like herby bitterness. Hefty at 8.6%, definitely worth a squiz.
Can't look at this tin and not hear a whispered voice in my head "TRANCE AROUND THE WORLD With Above & Beyond." Not sure that's the reference being made here, but if indeed it is a nod to Above & Beyond, hats off to Shapeshifter for bringing a little bit of Trance sparkle into a craft beer scene that's dominated by heavy metal and it's derivatives.
