We don't see many Baltic Porters, which is a shame really. They are designed to showcase malt, the undiscussed lynchpin to beer. Everyone knows Citra, Mosaic, Cryopop.... nobody really talks malt. It's like the ghostwriter of the beer world. Anyhow, here's a dark, broody, chocolatey and dark fruit-driven malt bomb of a beer, held up with a gentle bitterness. It's beautifully balanced comfort drinking.
Project Brewing kicked off in Rowville in 2019, headed up by husband and wife team Brayden & Caitlin. Brayden was an engineer and enthusiastic homebrewer in a former life, the brewhouse, which he designed and built, resided in their home until the brewery and taproom officially opened up. They are one of several brewers who had to quickly pivot from the brewpub model into spirits and packaged beer thanks to the mayhem that the pandemic caused.
