Eden Valley Pinot Noir, I must admit I raised an eyebrow at the sales rep - "It's an elevated site, Ryan, check the wine out and don't worry about the label." Sage advice, and a point well made. Deeper and darker on the nose than the cooler climate examples, nevertheless appealing; medium bodied, juicy, fresh blackberries, a little spice, soft slurpy tannins; easy drinking and good fun. A little bit more cowbell than a Victorian or Tasmanian, but it's an easy going box ticker that'll make you smile, especially at the price.
