Millon Impressionist Pinot Noir 2022 750ml

First impression(ist, lol)—Pinot from Barossa? Turns out, the fruit actually comes from Millon Wines' Eden Valley vineyard, perched over 500m above the Barossa floor, where the temperatures are much cooler. Makes sense, as it's prime territory for crisp, crunchy Riesling, so a Pinot with finesse doesn’t seem as much a reach as Pinot from gutsy Shiraz territory. This was a huge hit at our in-store tasting in May 2025. Previous vintage was a ripper, too. 

A darker colour than southern state examples. Great to sniff, cherries & charcuterie, the palate is ripe and juicy, the cherries run the show, the game-y sits in the background. Quite nicely spiced on the finish. A little bit more dry red than classic Pinot, but it's a great drink regardless.
