Pale gold colour with a very inviting nose of nougat, honey, toast, nashi and a little citrus peel. The palate is medium-bodied and sports a creamy nutty texture, apple and pear flavours with nougat, honey, florals and a great dry savoury biscuit finish. Alex and Rob have previously gone a little crazy with their winemaking tricks in their Chardonnays, but the quality of the fruit in the 2021 vintage seems to have shifted a little bit of focus from chaotic fun to purity. While it's still an LWBC Chardy, it's more Chardy than LWBC. If that makes any sense at all. (It did in my head.)
Little Brunswick's take on Chardonnay from this site in Wadawurrung Country (near Geelong) has been one of the consistently exciting releases since we opened in September 2019. This vintage continues the great run.
