Kilkerran has just arrived back in Australia and we're stoked to have some on the shelf. From Campbeltown deep in Scotland's South West aged for 12 years in a mix of ex Bourbon and ex Sherry barrels.
It smells of sweet cereal, vanilla, and a faint touch of smoke. On the palate, it's a real crowd pleaser; light to medium-bodied, sweet malts play nicely with spices and vanilla while the gentle smokiness sits in the background doing it's own thing. It's nicely balanced and has a little bit of everything a whisky nerd would desire, whilst being approachable enough for drinking and not thinking. Grouse gear. 46.0% alc/vol.
We've got some open at the shop if you'd like to come and try it for yourself.
