InReverie Cabernet Merlot 2022 750ml

2022 was a cool year in Margaret River which makes for elegant wines that are less fruit forward with more influence from savoury characteristics, which is well typified by this example. Deep crimson colour with a very expressive and complex nose, blackberry, terracotta, spices, liquorice and dark chocolate. The palate is medium weight with a silky texture, delivering a beautiful balance of fruit and savoury; the fruits are black, and savoury notes tobacco and olive driven. Very fine tannins wrap it all up, all told this is a lovely elegant example of Margaret River Cabernets at a tip top price.
