Ben continues to flex his groggy muscles, releasing hit after hit after hit. I kinda wish Jarrod Kimber covered beer like he covers cricket, as Ben's body of beery work recently deserves some proper coverage and assessment. It's a rich vein of form. An immense beer, that's intensely malty; medium bodied, very gently effervescent, packed full of dried fruit, vanilla and kitchen spices. Extraordinary stuff now, but will continue to improve in the tin for years. These beers aged in ex-Gospel casks continue to push the case that Gospel uses the best timber in the country.
