This beer sent some BJCP types into a bit of a spin when it was released, and not having consumed many Marzens I was a bit hesitant to put my flag on the hill. Whether it's a traditional and/or box-ticking paint-by-numbers Marzen I'm not sure. Big, sweet malt bomb gently spicy, delicious beer? You bet.
