Hargreaves Hill Bourbon Barrel Aged Birthday Imperial Stout 440ml

I've loved Hargreaves Hill since my very first job in booze, back at Mayerling Cellars in Croydon. I can remember Simon & Beth delivering their Pale Ale & Weizen, which were then incredibly flavoursome compared to what else was around. They were right there even before things took off, alongside 3 Ravens, Mountain Goat & Grand Ridge. 

This beer is a blend of barrel aged stouts from 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024. Totally opaque colour, with incredible roasty, toasty, sweet, spicy aromas. The palate is dense & chewy and full of explosive chocolate, coffee, vanilla & spice flavours which hang around long after you've swallowed. It's an incredibly flavoursome beer with impeccable balance. Treat yourself to one.
