Simple, straightforward roasted coffee, chococlate malt flavours framed by ample bitterness. Arguably the best quality for price Stout in the country (we'll also consider Hawkers Stout, 3 Ravens Oatmeal).
Grifter is a small independent brewery and taproom with great tacos in Marrickville, a suburb in Sydney's inner west. It's well worth a visit and can be walked very easily from Wildflower and Batch brewing. Grifter tend to focus on "beer flavoured beer" while Wildflower are highly esteemed for their wild ales, and Batch... well Batch is like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates analogy... you never know what you're gonna get, but it'll probably be pretty darn good if my previous visits were anything to go by!
