Fernet Branca 700ml
Fernet Branca 700ml
Fernet Branca hails from Milan, Italy and was first made in the 1840s. It's produced from 27 secret herbs, roots & botanicals by macerating them in very high proof spirit, then blending to bottling strength with a sugar syrup, before being aged for 12 months in large oak barrels to mature. It's profoundly minty on the nose with heaps of spice. The palate is really punchy, again with the mint and herbs, joined by cola and caramel flavours, liquorice... I could go on. It's so intense and complex, and leaves a very long bitter minty aftertaste.
Enjoy on ice neat or with soda, or freeze it and take shots - trust me, it's much better than Jager, or serve it with Coke like they do at Loch & Key in the city (they have a Fernet & Coke tap) for a slightly minty, boozy Dr Pepper experience.
