Emmalene Pinot Noir 2022 750ml

Pinot Noir grapes from Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills, made by the very clever and almost immediately endearing Emmalene team. Everything we've tried from them has been really, really good so far.

Pours a slightly murky pink-crimson colour, it almost looks like super-fresh Beaujolais; not sure if it was the dissipating Coravin gas, or if it was bottled while a little active. Visual nitpicking doesn't matter, this stuff smells frigging yum, plum sauce, cherry, sap, dried florals and a whiff of milk bottle lollies. While the palate is light in body, it's packed full of punchy bright vibrant flavour, front through mid and is grippy, crunchy, minerally and a little smoky down back. Grouse juice.
