ECK Wines Mount Alexander Riesling 2021 750ml

This is Riesling from Faraday, Victoria a little east of Castlemaine. Just 700 bottles produced, unfortunately as I could guzzle this all day. A little darker coloured than it's South Australian or Tasmanian contemporaries, stonefruit first on the nose, then the citrus and florals. The palate is pretty big for a Riesling, it's a really generous feeling wine thanks to a little residual sugar with some great minerality and zip underneath the stonefruit and citrus. The finish is clean, toasty and features little pops of glace ginger. Friggin' grouse. Don't buy it all. Mine.
