Pinot Gris is a real sort of churn & burn variety in Australia. It's unusual to see stock on shelves, fridges or wine lists that are over 18 months old. We tend to make and imbibe them with nonchalance (mainly!). In Europe, it's a bit of a different kettle of fish, like this 2017 example from Alsace, France.
It pours a developed gold colour, has lovely rose petal, apple and ginger aromas. The palate is quite rich, in body and carries layered flavours of pear, glace ginger, herbs, and a little of that "kero" characteristic aged Riesling lovers enjoy. If you are "gris'ed out" perhaps this might bring you back into the fold.
