Made by the famous Luke Lambert from grapes grown on Denton's vineyard situated on that pretty road in between Yarra Glen & Healesville. Pretty good grape guzzling, scenery spotting, eating and artsy stuff in this neck of the woods. Whole bunches were pressed to barrel where natural fermentation happened, and a short rest - all told it took six months. It's so creamy and buttery on the nose; buttered toast, honey, honeysuckle, bacon, grilled peach. Peach, nougat and a little popcorn butter on the palate - which is generously textured, but framed nicely by a great lick of acidity which keeps this fairly big boned wine moving. It's hefty, but it's also agile and tense. Delicious.
