Currumbin Valley's Smokey & Luke are some of Australia's best producers of kettle sours, their ability to make beer taste like what the can says it is going to taste like is extraordinary. Here they've gone with the optimistic choice of watermelon and backed it up with raspberry. We've seen many other sours with watermelon in them, and frankly, they've been a bit sad. This is the exception to the rule. It smells like watermelon, not sadness, it tastes and smells like watermelon - it's light in body, crisp, intensely flavoured, gently tart and absolutely frightfully refreshing. Gee whiz.
