Criminal Minds GSM 2021 750ml

Equal parts Grenache, Shiraz and a splash of Mataro from a sensational vintage. Deep broody colour, curious legs on the glass too - unusual at 14% alcohol. Smells wonderful, expressive, berries aplenty, a touch herby and earthy too. The medium bodied plush palate is initially very ripe and juicy before it dries out and the fruitiness is countered by savoury influences, finishing long, dry and refreshing. This stuff has absolutely no business being $16 a bottle. I think it has some potential to improve in the bottle over the short term, too.
