Coopers Pale Ale Slab 24 x 375ml
Coopers Pale Ale Slab 24 x 375ml
Coopers is Australia’s last big family owned brewery. They’ve been at it since 1862, and they’ve stuck to their guns; top-fermented ales, natural bottle or can conditioning, no filtering, no bullshit. Their iconic Pale Ale is cloudy, citrusy and slightly funky, like a homebrew that got its shit together and went mainstream. It’s old school beer made with old school values - no gimmicks, no buyouts, just good accessible grog.
I really feel for them following the bible gate story. That was a situation well and truly overblown by people who didn't quite understand the intracicies of it. If you think they're homophomic; ask yourself - would a homophobic company sponsor as much of the arts as they have for as long as they have? Things like the Coopers Malthouse theatre, or WOMADelaide? Of course not. But they've been doing it quietly for decades.
If you're worried about them donating money to the Liberal Party - stop it. All big booze businesses donate big dollars to both sides of politics, because they need to have a seat at the table. Taxation policy plays a huge part in their abilities to sell booze. They all need to have an ear, regardless of who's in power.
While I'm at it, did you hear about the time there was a strike by the workers due to distreatment? Of course you didn't! All those years ago when the bible gate thing blew up, and people were pouring Coopers down the drain workers at CUB (Carlton, VB, Mountain Goat, Balter, Pirate Life) were striking because they'd been sacked then offered their jobs back at 20% less than what they were getting previously.
That's enough from me, thanks for reading.
