Combes Savage Garden 2021 750ml

This is a slightly more convetional take on Sauvignon Blanc than the Beauty Runs the Gauntlet, made from grapes grown by Oscar on his Yarra Valley property. It's a fine and polished example, full of fresh grassy, herby flavours wrapped around a generous silky body, which was built up by a couple of days on skins. It manages to avoid the cat piss nonsense that some Sauvignon Blanc can have. Food wine to nerd out over, or park wine to glug nonchalantly, this wine can fit both roles with aplomb. Was $34, Discounted the heck out of the last few of these to grab something new in.
