Remember when Aussie Christmas beers were big and super boozy fruit and spice-filled Scotch Ales? I do! Gosh, that was hard going.... a warm day, huge booze and more indulgence. Thank goodness we're past that. This Red IPA from Bridge Road is a far more suitable beer for the day; a firm malt backbone, great colour and depth with a respectable sprinkling of bitterness, and not too much booze at 6.5% makes for a far more sensible day.
