Blood Moon Moonrise Grampians Shiraz/Merlot 2021 750ml

The 2021 Blood Moon Moonrise now includes a good whack of Merlot. It seems bigger than previous releases, pouring a deep crimson colour and it has big aromas of raspberry, plum and a touch of mint. The palate is again, big - which seems at odds with the low alcohol and winemaking technique, alas it's a generous, bright and bombastic fun red wine. Perhaps carrying a little puppy fat at this stage? Regardless, great fun drinking at a wonderful price.
