Produced from grapes grown on Lakey Farm, on the slopes North of Sunbury. Kinda half way in between Sunbury & Gisborne. Think more Macedon GI, than Sunbury GI in terms of characteristics here. 26 days on skins has given this wine a wonderful deep colour, the lack of fining gives it a slight turbidity. Really fun looking stuff for those who like it a bit natty, stuff of nightmares for purists. This stuff jumps from the glass, fresh cherry juice, ripe blueberries, plums - it's so bright and fresh. The palate is light to medium bodied and just screams Pinot. Sweet fruit up front, cleansed by crisp acidity; the flavours fan out beautifully into a cherry, spice and terracotta finale. Heckin' delicicous juice. Dream by name, and by nature.
