Black & Ginger Grenache Nouveau 2022 750ml

Grenache grapes from the Arrawatta vineyard in Great Western, Victoria cobbled into a lovely red by Hadyn Black of Black & Ginger wines, also based in Great Western. I wrote this, then re-read it in my head and realised how odd it sound in spite of it being true. Anyhow, onto the juice! Deep purple in colour, with a bright garnet edge. This wine has a lovely, inviting aromatic profile; raspberry, lavender, chocolate, cinnamon quill, liquorice and allspice. The palate is medium-bodied, juicy and bright up front, spicy and savoury down back with a particularly noteworthy crunchy pepper and allspice finish. This vino is a fraction more serious than last year, though it still has a leg on either side of the park slurping or table wine fence, we think it's grouse and reckon you'll love it too.
