Mountain Culture had an invitational smoky beer festival recently, and this was the beer that Banks Brewing / Mr Banks / BANHS took up there. It pours crystal clear pale gold, thin short lived white foam. Delicate wood smoke notes, maybe oak chips?... fresh hot white toast. The palate is light, fizzy, gentle smoke wafts in and out playing with straightforward malts. The finish is the absolute epitome of crisp, which is a word bandied around far too much in this author's opinion. There's not a lot going on, but what's there is absolutely glorious.
